Day 5

Greetings from Shaoguan University!

Today is our fifth day at Shaoguan University and it has been going by so fast. The University here has been so good to us and I only hope down the road we can do the same for them at Eau Claire. Today we were able to listen to a lecture about Experience on Traveling in Shaoguan and Tibet by Chen Wanter who is a professor from the school of Geography and Tourism. She talked about the history of both the cities as well as some attractions we should see when we travel there. For example, she talked about how the Northern Guangdong refers to Shaoguan and Qingyan citites which are popular for its marvelous natural scenery, ancient relics, karnst caves, and exotic yao customs.

Once we were done with our class in the morning we then proceeded to taking our normal lunch break and then nap time (which is most of our favorite time of the day). After we went to our Calligraphy course and then good old Kung-Fu class. In Kung-Fu, we continued to learn our routine that we were told yesterday that we would be performing at the farewell party for all the students. For dinner our buddies took us outside the University to eat dinner at the local food places. I had the best meal since I have been here at a small noddle shop which I had peanut butter noddles (sounds weird but it was so so good)! To conclude the day we ended with English corner that let us meet other students from the University and allowed them to ask any questions that they may have. All in all it was a wonderful day and I cannot wait for tomorrow because we will be playing a basketball game with the students! Keep you posted on who wins!
